Welcome to OpenBeast.com, tell us about yourself.
I’m a hippy at heart. I love being in love and I dream big. The possibility of having a dream come true keeps life interesting and fills me with excitement every single day. I smile and laugh a lot, that’s why my cheeks are so big (laughs). I surround myself with positive people only; I get along with them best! I love to eat. I eat like a man (if I’m not dieting) and my favorite food is Indian. Dieting kills me but you got to do what you got to do. I speak three languages – English, Farsi and Turkish. I’m a family girl – I adore my family and every good thing I am I owe to them.
How did you get started in the world of modeling?
I’ve always wanted to be a model, even though I didn’t have the guts to admit that to myself or to others when I was younger I knew this is what I wanted. My boyfriend encouraged me to follow my dream and so I started contacting photographers and built my portfolio from then work started coming in.
Tell us more about your experience as a model.
My experience has been great. I learn something new on set every time whether it’s a new pose, angle or something new about the industry I didn’t know before. I love that I don’t do the same thing every day, that’s super important because I get bored FAST and modeling feeds my hunger for excitement.
Have you experienced any adversity in your modeling career?
When I first started I shot with a photographer who happens to be one of the big agents in the city so I trusted I would be in good hands and followed instruction. Things started to feel a little uncomfortable and weird. Now knowing what I know, I would have handled the situation a lot different… and I didn’t get a single pic back from that shoot. Hmmm.
What has been your favorite gig so far?
Creative collaborations are my favorite because I can chose the photographer I want to work with and bring my vision to life. I can’t really choose a favorite because I love all my work and every project I’ve worked on.
What do you do to stay in shape?
Lots of cardio. I do my daily squats as much as I can and eating clean is key. I only drink water and green tea – no pop, no vitamin water, no alcohol.
What do you like to do in your leisure time?
I love to read inspiring, self-help books my fav being The Alchemist, oh and Janice Dickinson’s No Lifeguard on Duty was a good one! Going out to eat is always a good time. I’m slowly becoming a grandma… I dislike clubbing, drinking and wasting my life as I like to put it (smiles). I like to spend my free time experiencing new and exciting things to better myself.
Are there any upcoming projects you would like to talk about?
My next project is modeling internationally. I’m very excited to be taking this step and grateful such an amazing opportunity has come my way.
Thank you for the great interview!
